The Minerva Frostrack UHP winter tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of compact and mid-size passenger cars. On any slippery surface, it stands out for its high efficiency, while demonstrating ease of handling, a soft and quiet ride.
The tread pattern features a symmetrical directional design with a "classic" V-shaped structure of drainage grooves for winter tires. This solution provides excellent directional stability even on slippery surfaces, significantly reducing rolling resistance. When maneuvering, stability is ensured by the increased width of the shoulder blocks and their trapezoidal profile in the side projection. The long transverse edges formed by them allow for intense deceleration and acceleration on snowy surfaces. On ice, these properties are practically fully preserved thanks to sinusoidal lamellas. Several thousand such incisions form a corresponding number of sharp transverse edges that literally bite into the road surface.
Key features:
- petal-shaped blocks in the central part increase directional stability and traction on slippery surfaces;
- V-shaped arrangement and increased width of drainage grooves provide intense water and heavy mixture of snow and road dirt removal from the contact patch;
- wide shoulder blocks improve longitudinal grip on snow, stability when maneuvering on dry surfaces;
- several thousand sinusoidal lamellas prevent longitudinal slipping on icy surfaces.
