Description Michelin XZY
The primary "target audience" for the Michelin XZY cargo tire is not only trucks, but also various wheeled equipment used in the construction industry. At the same time, it can be installed on any axles, featuring high performance, both on construction sites and in quarries, as well as on asphalt roads.
Non-separable construction of all tread elements
The universality of this tire is largely ensured by a number of design features of the tread pattern. It contains four very wide longitudinal ribs. Each of them is a very rigid element of a non-separable construction. This feature significantly reduces rolling resistance, high-speed stability, handling, and also very even distribution of external weight over the contact patch.
Good longitudinal traction properties
The absence of separate blocks did not prevent the French tire makers from giving the tire good traction properties. The necessary engagement edges are formed due to the Z-shaped shape of all longitudinal ribs. At the same time, there are very deep and wide notches in the shoulder areas. When moving on soil with low bearing capacity, they function in the same way as off-road tires, improving passability.
Durable carcass
Even under extremely heavy operating conditions, this model shows good reliability. This is largely due to the excellent strength of the carcass, which is entirely made of steel cord. In combination with a wear-resistant and mechanically resistant rubber compound, this provides the tire with excellent protection.
