Description Michelin XZL+
Like its namesake model, but without the "+" sign in the name, the Michelin XZL+ tire is designed for trucks that operate primarily off public roads, i.e. off-road. The change in name is due to a significant increase in payload capacity. For this model, this indicator can reach 5.3 tons, depending on the speed of movement.
Off-road tread pattern
The tread of this tire is perfectly adapted for movement on any type of surface, primarily dirt. It is made in an open design, which contains a large number of massive blocks. Due to their polygonal shape, each of them forms a multitude of differently directed edges of adhesion when contacting the road surface. At the same time, the significant distance between the blocks, combined with the significant tread depth, allows it to easily get rid of dirt particles that get stuck in it. This, in turn, increases the coupling properties on surfaces with low bearing capacity.
High reliability and strength
Like most other Michelin off-road truck tires, this model is equipped with a reinforced carcass containing a double cord of steel wires, as well as a breaker that also contains two nylon cords. At the same time, they are located not only directly under the tread, but also under the sidewalls, providing reliable protection for this part of the tire from mechanical damage.
Key features of the Michelin XZL+ tire
- increased payload capacity compared to the standard version - up to 5.3 tons;
- a versatile tread with an open design provides reliable traction on any type of surface;
- a reinforced carcass and breaker with an additional cord increase the reliability and carrying capacity of the tire.
