Description Michelin XZE2+
The Michelin XZE2+ truck tire, produced by one of the world's leading tire industry leaders, is designed for installation on the wheels of steerable axles of trucks used in international long-distance transportation. This tire is an upgraded version of the XZE2 model, which has gained recognition from carriers around the world.
The in-depth modernization made it possible to significantly increase the service life, improve the resistance of the tread to punctures and cuts, and provide more reliable traction in various road conditions due to the more even wear. In addition, the improved composition of the rubber mixture made it possible to significantly increase the resistance of the tire tread to abrasion. Moreover, the equipping of the tread with special lamellas led to a significant reduction in the risk of clogging the tread pattern with stones and other foreign objects.
A distinctive feature of the Michelin XZE2+ tire is the increased tread width by 5 mm compared to its predecessor, which significantly increased the traction indicators. At the same time, the dual-layer compound allowed the service life of the tire to be significantly extended. Also, to increase the tire's resistance to abrasion, the tire tread was equipped with special lamellas cut throughout its depth. These S-shaped lamellas provide high stiffness of the tread ribs, which made it possible not only to increase the wear resistance of the tire but also to significantly improve the braking efficiency.
This model is distinguished by its high resistance to aquaplaning. At the same time, the effectiveness of the drainage system remains practically at the initial level throughout the entire service life. This was achieved thanks to the special design of the four longitudinal water drainage grooves.
The main features of the Michelin XZE2+ truck tire
- Excellent traction in any road conditions, thanks to the optimized design of the non-directional symmetric tread pattern;
- Optimal load distribution over the contact patch due to the five-rib structure of the tread and its increased width made it possible to significantly extend the service life of the tire and reduce the risk of uneven wear;
- Excellent resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the highly efficient operation of the drainage system, consisting of four wide and deep water drainage grooves.
