Description Michelin XW4S
The commercial tire Michelin XW4S is installed on highway tractors and large-capacity trucks. It is installed on the driving axle. It is distinguished by increased traction and braking force on wet and snowy surfaces, course stability during maneuvering, fuel efficiency, and an extended service life.
The tread pattern is replete with separately standing blocks with bidirectional edges. This allows for the effective implementation of traction force, providing intense acceleration even on snowy surfaces. It is worth noting the presence of numerous lamellas, which additionally improve the grip properties on slippery surfaces. The tread elements are arranged in a "checkerboard" pattern, which increases the contact patch and provides evenly distributed pressure across it. This improves the stability of the grip and slows down wear.
Key features of Michelin XW4S
- bidirectional edges of blocks provide high and stable traction force on wet and snowy surfaces;
- lamellas improve grip on slippery surfaces, reduce tread wear;
- a rubber compound with increased elasticity at low temperatures and resistance to abrasive wear and tears.
