The Michelin XVC E2 special tire is used in quarry dump trucks with a rigid frame. It demonstrates the greatest efficiency on even solid soil surfaces. The tread pattern is a combination of a solid rib in the middle and numerous blocks in the shoulder zones. The dense arrangement of elements with partial overlap increases the contact patch and promotes a more even distribution of load on the road surface. This improves coupling and directional stability at high speed, reducing wear and rolling resistance. The numerous unidirectional edges of the tread pattern elements provide reliability of control on a wet surface.
