Description Michelin XTE3 Retread
The Michelin XTE3 Retread commercial tire is installed on the trailer axle of heavy-duty trucks. It features a retreaded tread pattern restored using Michelin Retread technology. It is characterized by operational properties comparable to those of new tires.
Reduced transportation costs
This model is distinguished by increased efficiency during operation. This is due to several factors. One of them is the increased tread width by 20 mm compared to the XTE2 tire. This significantly increases the contact patch size, which, in combination with the optimized tread pattern design, substantially slows down wear. Another advantage of this solution is the improvement of traction stability.
Reliability on poor roads
The tread layer, including the sidewall area, is made of a special rubber compound. It is characterized by high stiffness and mechanical strength. This significantly increases the tire's protection against mechanical damage, ensuring the manufacturer's declared service life even on poor roads.
High braking efficiency
The tread pattern features a large number of traction edges. They are formed by numerous lamellas cut into the three central longitudinal ribs. These elements improve the effectiveness of the tread during deceleration, especially on slippery surfaces.
Key features of Michelin XTE3 Retread
- a tire with a retreaded tread restored in factory conditions;
- installed on the trailer axle;
- a special rubber compound of the tread reduces rolling resistance, prevents premature wear, punctures, and cuts.
