The Michelin XHDT A E4 special tire is designed for use on the production sites of mining enterprises. It is a "quarry" tire with increased load-carrying capacity and cycle speed.
The tread pattern is distinguished by an increased cutting depth of up to 47 mm. Considering its design with numerous blocks, this feature significantly improves the traction and adhesion properties on soil, reducing the risk of puncture damage to the tire and increasing its service life. A special rubber compound is used in the manufacturing process. The compound has increased thermal conductivity, which significantly reduces the heating of the tire during prolonged movement with a high load. At the same time, it retains exceptional resistance to abrasive wear, the formation of cracks, small cracks, and chips. It is worth noting the structure of the sidewalls, which is a "sandwich" with a large number of layers using a steel cord. This design is flexible enough to neutralize the shock impact on the one hand, and on the other hand, it allows avoiding critical damage during operation on hard rocky soils.
