Description Michelin XFN2
Its appearance owes the Michelin XFN2 cargo tire for the leading axles of highway tractors to the complex climatic conditions that often "accompany" the operation of cargo transport in the autumn-winter period. I.e. it is a model for bad weather, which demonstrates a very high level of safety.
Improved traction in difficult conditions
Being designed for operation on the leading axle, this tire is equipped with a tread pattern that contains a significant number of traction edges. They are formed by numerous blocks, which make up four longitudinal ribs in the center and two shoulder zones. In addition, several lamellas are cut in each of them, which, during movement, create several thousand additional traction edges. Due to their transverse location, the tire demonstrates exceptionally high traction properties in the longitudinal direction, even in the most unfavorable road conditions.
Antisplash splash guard
This model is offered by the French manufacturer in two versions. The 385/65 and 385/55 sizes are equipped with special Antisplash deflector-splashes. The main functional purpose of these tread elements is to protect the glass elements of other road users from splashing water from under the wheels of trucks. They do not allow water, diverted from under the tread, to spread upwards, directing it downwards. In this regard, it is impossible not to note the high efficiency of the drainage system. It consists of numerous transverse and longitudinal grooves. At the same time, their sizes were deliberately increased in order to ensure their effectiveness in diverting not only water but also heavy snow masses.
Main features of the Michelin XFN2 tire
- reliable and stable traction properties even in unfavorable road conditions, thanks to a tread with an increased number of traction edges;
- numerous Antisplash splash guards prevent water from getting on mirrors and windshields.
