Description Michelin XDL
The Michelin XDL commercial tire is designed for dump trucks and other special equipment used in construction and mining. It can be installed on any axle. It is characterized by improved traction on hard ground, long service life, and reliability in the most unfavorable conditions.
The tire features a so-called "quarry" tread pattern with numerous large blocks. The elements in the central part are enlarged, which reduces pressure on the surface, prevents uneven wear. The elongated transverse edges formed in this process increase the traction force off-road. The shoulder areas, due to the increased distance and smaller block sizes, enhance the ability of the tread to self-clean from soil particles and small stones. The breaker located under the tread of the tire is a 3-layer steel cord, which minimizes the risk of puncture damage and also increases the carrying capacity - by a third, according to the manufacturer's claims.
