Description Michelin XDA2 Energy
The Michelin XDA2 Energy commercial tire is designed for long and intense use on the drive axles of highway tractors. It is distinguished by improved traction properties on wet surfaces, a long service life, and fuel efficiency.
The tread pattern consists of blocks. The elements in the central part have small sizes, which made it possible to increase their number and, together with this, the number of edges formed by them in the contact patch. This has a positive effect on traction and braking properties, especially on wet surfaces. The blocks are separated from each other by lamellas, which creates continuous longitudinal ribs in the central part. This significantly reduces rolling resistance and wear. The elements on the edges of the tread are made massive, which gives them stability under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. As a result, when maneuvering, the stability of the coupling properties is ensured, as well as the uneven wear of the tread is reduced. The large distance between these lugs allows the tire to maintain its ability to accelerate even on snow.
Main features of Michelin XDA2 Energy
- a large number of blocks in the central part provides excellent traction properties on wet surfaces;
- large blocks on the edges of the tread prevent uneven wear, improve stability when maneuvering, and increase traction on snowy surfaces;
- an increased number of drainage grooves allows you to avoid aquaplaning at almost any speed.
