The Michelin X Quarry S E4 special tire is designed for quarry dump trucks with a rigid frame. This universal model is effective when used on most types of soil. It is characterized by increased carrying capacity, strength, wear resistance, reliable traction and adhesion properties, and low vibration levels.
The tire is designed to operate at a cyclic speed of up to 19 km/h, which is higher than most similar tires from other brands. This is achieved by several solutions at once. First of all, it is a tread pattern with wide blocks and long grooves. Such a design not only increases traction and adhesion properties but also reduces tire heating using wheel rotation. At the same time, it reduces uneven wear and rolling resistance. Another important feature is the profile of the tread. It increases the stability of the adhesion properties and significantly slows down the process of abrasive wear of the tread due to the uniform distribution of the load in the contact patch with the road surface.
