Description Michelin Scorcher 32
The Michelin Scorcher 32 motorcycle tire is installed on cruise bikes. It comes as the original equipment on the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob. It is distinguished by higher stability of traction properties on wet surfaces than many analogs.
The tread part of the front and rear tires has an increased number and internal volume of drainage grooves. One of them runs exactly in the middle, and its zigzag shape additionally increases the length of the formed edges. In the shoulder areas, the grooves are arranged at an angle, which significantly increases the water drainage speed from under the contact patch. The edges formed during this process improve the effectiveness of the tread when braking, allowing for higher traction on wet surfaces.
Despite its significant size, the tire has a relatively small weight, which is largely due to the use of a carcass with an aramid fiber cord. The lightweight material, woven with high density, provides the entire structure with rigidity and resistance to deformation. This makes the tire very stable even at very high speeds.
Main features:
- designed for large cruise bikes, mainly North American brands;
- excellent stability on wet surfaces is ensured by a large internal volume and number of drainage grooves;
- extended traction edges in the shoulder areas improve longitudinal traction;
- an aramid fiber carcass reduces the weight of the tire, increasing its rigidity and resistance to deformation;
- an optimized tread profile increases the contact patch, improving handling accuracy and stability of traction properties at any motorcycle lean angle.
