Description Michelin Road 5 GT
The Michelin Road 5 GT motorcycle tire is a special version of the same-name model for powerful sports and touring 2-wheeled vehicles. It is distinguished by operational properties that adapt the tire for long-distance travel at high speeds.
The key feature of this model is the use of several types of compound in the manufacture of the tread, as well as its distribution. All this was done within the framework of the "brand" 2CT technology, which has proven itself in other tires of the French brand in the best possible way. The tread of the rear wheel tire is divided into three zones, where 60% of the area is allocated to the central part. It is made of a hard compound, which improved the efficiency of the tire when driving at high speeds. The same rubber compound is used in the central part of the front tire. However, this zone occupies only 20% of the area here. The rest of the tread is made of a more elastic rubber compound, which allows the tire to maintain stability at large lean angles of the motorcycle. As for the tread pattern, in this version of the model, it does not differ from other modifications. Numerous drainage grooves are arranged in a V-shaped scheme, which ensures reliable traction on a wet surface.
Main features:
- 2CT technology adapted to the characteristics of long-distance travel at high speeds;
- several compounds with different properties provide the tire with high efficiency in any road conditions;
- an aggressive V-shaped tread pattern with numerous drainage grooves allows for intense acceleration and deceleration on a wet surface.
