The Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 summer tire was created based on serial tires and is intended for a wide range of sports cars. This is evidenced by the high speed indices from V to W assigned to this tire.
The asymmetric non-directional tread pattern of the tire is made in a very original design. The tire tread is made using VCP technology, which provides a change in the contact patch depending on the driving mode. At the same time, the load is distributed evenly over the entire contact area of the tire, which ensures the highest efficiency of the tire in any maneuvers.
Another feature is the use of innovative rubber compound ALM, which has excellent characteristics, thanks to which the Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tire has excellent wear resistance. In addition, all the main working characteristics of the tire remain at a stable high level throughout its entire service life, which is on average 20% longer than that of its main competitors.
It is also worth noting the high efficiency of the tire's drainage system, which made it possible to achieve exceptional resistance to aquaplaning. To a large extent, this ability is provided by the presence of three longitudinal grooves in the tread pattern, which have an impressive depth and width.
In order to ensure stability when cornering, the shoulder areas of the tread have a reinforced structure. In addition, thanks to the rounded profile, it was possible to get rid of deformations that occur at high lateral accelerations, which not only improved the grip when cornering, but also effectively prevents the appearance of uneven wear.

- excellent grip in any road conditions, thanks to the asymmetric directional design of the tread pattern, made using the technology of changing the contact area;
- exceptional resistance to aquaplaning is provided by a highly efficient water drainage system, using three deep and wide longitudinal drainage grooves;
- excellent directional stability when driving even at very high speeds, thanks to the rigid construction and large width of the central longitudinal rib.

Tires 205/50 r17. Driving style very aggressive, often. Tire class in all indicators in hot weather +25 and above, but if cooler (+20 and below) loses positions significantly, becomes noisy, stiff, and grip also gets worse (from 0 to +10 when turning into a corner, it almost slips like in winter, especially if wet, struggles in fast starts even in third gear, and I only have 150 HP). Drove on the Hanty-Man

I purchased a car with these tires. I don't know how many kilometers the previous owner drove on them, but I drove 5 seasons and 80,000km. The main advantage of these tires is their reliability and endless tread. I replaced these tires not because of tread wear, but because the rubber on the sidewalls started to crack (years take their toll)
I didn't spare the wheels, didn't drive over rails, and periodically drove on mountainous rocky roads.
After all the abuse, the wheels remained even, without a single bulge

I've been thinking for a long time what to choose, a Michelin, a Bridgestone or something simpler and cheaper, the main criterion for the choice was a reliable sidewall. I've been thinking for a long time, felt a lot of rubber and settled on Michelin Pilot Exalto 2. The feelings are, of course, breathtaking, it really holds the road like on rails, very stable.
