Description Michelin Macadam 100X
The Michelin Macadam 100X motorcycle tire was developed using technical solutions from the previous 90X model, which was characterized by a long service life and excellent handling. The new model, thanks to the use of advanced technologies, surpasses its predecessor not only in these, but also in most other operational properties.
Two versions of execution
The model is offered in two versions - for the front and rear wheels. They differ from each other in size and design of the tread pattern. The tire for the front wheel has a narrower tread, and in its central part there is a solid longitudinal rib. In turn, the rear tire has an increased width and a multitude of transverse grooves that stretch across the entire tread. The differences are due to the specifics of using motorcycle tires.
Improved rubber compound
Another difference from the previous model is the rubber compound. It has a number of improved physico-chemical properties, which was achieved by including new generation polymers and silica in the composition. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent traction on wet roads without compromising the durability of the tread.
Reduced weight of the rear tire
The tire for the rear wheel has a low weight. This is ensured by a lightweight carcass. It is fully made of Kevlar cord. At the same time, the threads are located parallel to the direction of movement, which ensures that the tire retains its shape under the influence of lateral acceleration forces, especially at high speed. This guarantees excellent directional stability.
