Description Michelin M62 Gazelle
The Michelin M62 Gazelle summer motorcycle tire has a somewhat unusual scope of application. It was specifically designed for small-capacity bikes - mopeds. Nevertheless, this model has incorporated many proprietary technologies of the French manufacturer, which determined its high operational characteristics.
Reinforced carcass
Since the tire is intended primarily for operation in specific urban conditions, the French tire makers preferred to reinforce the carcass to provide it with protection from aggressive external influences, which occur when driving over various solid obstacles. That's why its basis was made of a steel cord, which gave the tire strength and elasticity.
Long service life
Another significant advantage of this model is its very long service life. This is mainly due to the tread pattern and the breaker located directly under it, as well as the rubber compound. The tread of the Michelin M62 Gazelle tire is distinguished by an increased depth, which increases the durability of the service. The breaker has additional layers of polymeric materials that provide additional protection against punctures and cuts. The rubber compound has been endowed with similar properties by special components in its composition.
Soft ride
When developing this model, particular attention was paid to ensuring a maximum high level of riding comfort. This tire is distinguished by an unusually soft ride, thanks to the sidewalls, which were intentionally given increased elasticity.
Excellent traction and course stability on wet roads
The tread pattern is favorably distinguished by a V-shaped design, as well as the presence of a large number of traction edges formed by numerous blocks. Such a layout scheme provides the tire with enviable course stability and traction, especially on wet roads.
Main features of the Michelin M62 Gazelle tire
- the tire is specially designed for operation on moped equipment in specific urban conditions;
- an optimized symmetrical directional tread pattern with a V-shaped design provides excellent traction properties and course stability, especially on wet asphalt;
- extreme softness on the move, thanks to elastic sidewalls;
- high resistance to punctures and cuts due to the large depth of the tread pattern, special components in the rubber compound, and additional layers of polymers in the breaker.
