A significant portion of the changes affected the composition of the rubber mixture. Increasing the proportion of "silica" content and using special polymers made it possible to expand the temperature range at which the tire has optimal elasticity. This significantly improves traction on wet and snowy roads. Changes to the tread pattern mainly affected the design of the drainage grooves. They have increased in volume due to the expanding shape of the tread towards the edges. This allows for more intense removal of water and its heavy mixture with thawed snow from the contact patch.
