Technology True muscle, refined.
True muscle, refined.
We took the aramid layer from the Razr family, tamed it, refined it and added it in. This means the VS5 is supple and refined and boasts an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio. And because aramid is heat-resistant, the VS5 runs cooler, which means a longer tread life.
Technology To go further, less is needed
To go further, less is needed
New resin fillers, a silicate-based tread compound and low-rolling-resistance polymers - all work together to help you go further on one tank of fuel or one charge. That means fewer emissions and less money spent on gas or electricity every week.
Technology More control on the road
More control on the road
Silicone tread pattern blocks turbocharge water evacuation on wet roads, while the nylon cap provides stability at high speeds. You remain in constant contact with the road and have full control over your powerful vehicle.
Technology More comfortable than ever
More comfortable than ever
The new layer of the frame allows the tire to easily bend, smoothing out road irregularities and providing a new level of comfort.
Technology Stop faster than ever
Stop faster than ever
During active driving, it is sometimes necessary to stop faster than usual. Special 3D sipes on the tread blocks reduce tread rolling, allowing you to stop safely when needed, without compromising wear and tire durability.

I understand that all negative reviews of the Maxxis VS5 are based on the fact that this tire model is positioned as a UHP-class tire and a direct competitor to Michelin Pilot Sport, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric, Continental ContiPremiumContact, and others. But let's be realistic: for a price 2-4 times lower, you won't get a full-fledged analog of top tires from well-known European brands.

Yes, the Victra Sport 5 is not bad: it holds the road well, doesn't feel like it's in a rut, has no complaints when braking, and doesn't hydroplane on wet roads, but if you compare it to the Pilot Sport, it will naturally be worse. Maxxis is a bit noisy, moderately stiff (after all, it's positioned as a "sporty" tire), but for its price, it's a very decent option.

If you have a BMW M5 and you like to "have fun" in traffic, this is not your option. But if you have a car with up to 250 horsepower, these tires will be enough for public roads with moderate driving loads. In this price segment, this is one of the best offers, so I give it a rating of 5 out of 5, considering its price.

The tires are quite good. I used to drive on Michelin and Continental. Quieter than Continental Sport 5. They perform well in the rain. When cornering, I can "dive" into turns controllably on them. Not as good as the Germans mentioned above, but there's no significant lag that would make me go "Ah!". In the end, there's no loss of traction. It's satisfying to accelerate. They're durable! But there's one thing - the brakes... the braking distance on a dry road is longer than on Conti and Michelin - that's a fact. I think it's at least 10% longer. I drive taking this minus into account. But the price, of course, "compensates" for this minus. I'm already driving on my second set.

By the way, wear - many people write about increased wear - I'll say exactly - not increased. They wear out just like my former German tires. Car: Porsche Macan GTS.

Good tires. I don't drive excessively fast, didn't test them in puddles specifically or under extreme conditions. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050+ are of course better but not by much, and the difference is 5 rubles with a discount. Overall, I'm satisfied, they have rim protection, a bit noisy though. I like them, if you're not an extreme driver, they'll suit you.
