Description Maxxis Razr MX
The Maxxis Razr MX model has a fairly narrow scope of application. It is designed exclusively for participation in various sports events, primarily racing. The specific operating conditions are reflected in the design of this model, which, nevertheless, has a fairly wide range of universality.
Several Maxxis Razr MX modifications
This tire is offered by the Asian manufacturer in several versions, differing from each other quite significantly. The M931 model is designed for installation on the front axle. In turn, the Maxxis M932 was developed taking into account the features of operation on the rear axle. Both modifications differ not only in the width of the tread (it is much wider on the rear tire), but also in a number of differences in the tread pattern.
In addition, this model is offered in several modifications, differing in the design of the carcass. The front tire can have a 4- or 6-layer carcass, and the rear tire can have a 2- or 4-layer carcass. In all cases, a cord made of synthetic materials is used, manufactured using a seamless winding technology. Thanks to this, the carcass is distinguished not only by its low weight, but also by its very high resistance to any mechanical impact, as well as a low level of heating during high-speed movement.
Special rubber compound
When developing the Maxxis Razr MX model, the experience gained by the Asian manufacturer over the years of participating in car racing was taken into account. Some of this knowledge was used in the creation of the compound. Special functional polymers were included in its composition. They give the molecular bonds significant strength, which in real operation ensures the integrity of the tread when subjected to significant mechanical stress. In other words, it stretches well, but does not tear even under strong stretching.
H-shaped tread blocks
The tread pattern of both the front and rear tires contains a large number of H-shaped blocks. During movement, they form a huge number of gripping edges, providing the tire with confident behavior on dirt roads. At the same time, it is impossible not to note the significant differences between the two versions of this model (for the front and rear wheels). The front tire has blocks located at a minimum distance from each other, and a very wide longitudinal rib is formed from them in the center, which improves directional stability and handling. In turn, the rear tire has a chess-shaped arrangement of H-shaped blocks. This provides it with excellent gripping properties, which are also distinguished by excellent stability.
Main features:
- was developed specifically for participation in quad bike racing;
- several modifications, differing not only in tread width, but also in carcass design, allow you to choose a variant that is optimally suited for tracks with different types of coverage;
- optimized rubber compound, combining excellent elasticity and resistance to tearing, thanks to the presence of special polymeric compounds in the composition;
- numerous H-shaped blocks provide reliable grip on various types of dirt roads.
