The Maxxis Premitra Ice 5 SP5 winter tire is designed for a wide range of passenger cars operating in harsh conditions. The model is equipped with a Scandinavian-type tread, which has long proven itself as the most reliable on icy and snowy roads. In addition, the tire stands out for its acoustic comfort and the efficiency of the drainage system.
Many characteristics were achieved by the manufacturer due to the use of an innovative SiRu rubber mixture. It is distinguished by its softness and wear resistance. Therefore, when moving on an icy surface, a denser contact is achieved, which increases the stability and maneuverability of the vehicle.
The directional V-shaped tread pattern is represented by a developed block structure. Each block has sharp edges that act as hooks on loose snow. To this, it is worth adding the presence of diagonally directed channels that contribute to the rapid cleaning of the contact area from slush and water. Their depth provides drainage of any volume, which positively affects the retention of control on a snowy road.
