The tread part of the tire features a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves. These elements widen as they approach the sidewalls. This design allows them to effectively handle the removal of water, as well as its mixture with snow and dirt, from the contact patch. The edges of the shoulder blocks have a zigzag shape, which enhances traction on snow. Around the studs, the tread has a reverse profile, forming a "suction cup" that provides additional adhesion to icy roads.
