Maxxis NS5

The Maxxis NS5 winter tire is installed on SUV-class vehicles. It is distinguished by balanced operating properties, simultaneously demonstrating acoustic comfort and good traction, handling on icy and snowy roads.

The tread part of the tire features a V-shaped arrangement of drainage grooves. These elements widen as they approach the sidewalls. This design allows them to effectively handle the removal of water, as well as its mixture with snow and dirt, from the contact patch. The edges of the shoulder blocks have a zigzag shape, which enhances traction on snow. Around the studs, the tread has a reverse profile, forming a "suction cup" that provides additional adhesion to icy roads. In the central part, the blocks are rigidly connected to each other, forming a massive rib. This increases directional stability, reduces rolling resistance, and optimizes the distribution of load across the contact patch.
