Like other representatives of the Maxxcross line, the Maxxis Maxxcross SM motorcycle tire has a fairly narrow scope of application. It was developed with consideration of the specific operating conditions of motocross tires on sandy and wet soil. This required the use of a number of technical solutions by the specialists of the Asian company, which allowed this model to have excellent operating properties.

Two execution options

This model is offered in two versions - for the front and rear wheels. At the same time, the manufacturer recommends using both modifications together. This will make it possible to achieve ideal balance and excellent handling, as they were developed simultaneously using computer modeling technologies, like two parts of a single whole.

Anti-Flex "anti-skid bridges"

Both versions of this model are equipped with treads featuring so-called "anti-skid bridges" Anti-Flex. They are formed during movement from a multitude of separate blocks located in the shoulder areas. Thanks to the formed edges of adhesion, the Maxxis Maxxcross SM tire demonstrates excellent stability and traction properties when cornering and making sharp maneuvers. In addition, these tread elements significantly improve passability on sandy and soil surfaces with high moisture content. In such conditions, the blocks in the shoulder areas act as mud-grabbers, giving the tire confidence.

Special rubber compound

In addition to the tread pattern, the specific operating conditions on sandy and soil types of coverage were taken into account in the composition of the rubber compound. It is significantly different from the compounds used in other tires of the Maxxcross line. First of all, it has an increased content of silica, which makes the tread very elastic, thanks to which it literally spreads over the surface, thereby optimizing the distribution of external pressure on it. At the same time, special functional polymers give the elastic tread excellent tear resistance, i.e. it stretches beautifully, but does not break even with strong stretching.

- The tire is designed for soft unstable sandy and soil surfaces, including surfaces with high moisture content;
- Two versions - for the front and rear wheels;
- A tread pattern with an open design, developed using computer modeling technologies, provides excellent traction properties in any conditions;
- The tread rubber compound, specially created for soft soils, gives the tire excellent operating characteristics and reliability;
- Special "anti-skid bridges" in the shoulder areas of the tread improve stability at any tilt angles of the motorcycle.
