Matador MP-95 Yermak

Since the tire is designed for use in winter, its tread is equipped with a symmetrical directional pattern with an original V-shaped design. Despite the similar structure, the tread can be conditionally divided into five longitudinal ribs, each consisting of many individual blocks. At the same time, the central longitudinal rib of the Matador MP-95 Yermak tire consists of double protector blocks, each half of which has a large number of elliptical edges and sharp corners. This design allowed for a significant improvement in pressure distribution across the contact patch, providing a multitude of additional edges of adhesion in different directions.

In addition, two longitudinal rows of blocks are located in the central part of the tread, made in the shape of a quadrangle. The arrangement of these blocks at an angle of almost 45 degrees provides high efficiency of acceleration, especially on snowy surfaces.

The shoulder areas of the tread are equipped with a large number of massive rectangular blocks. Their massive size and low-radius profile made it possible to achieve a large area and rectangular shape of the contact patch, which significantly improved handling characteristics. In addition, the blocks of the shoulder areas are arranged at a right angle to the direction of movement, which significantly increased the effectiveness of braking on snow.
