Matador MP-57

The studded winter tire Matador MP-57 is exceptionally attractive due to its democratic price and good operational qualities. This model is designed primarily for compact passenger cars of domestic production and exists in two sizes – 195/65R14 and 205/70R14.

For this tire, the company's specialists preferred to use a tread with an S-shaped symmetrical non-directional pattern. Due to this, the tire has almost an ideal balance of operational and consumer qualities. The entire middle part of the tread pattern is occupied by three rows of massive blocks, the rectangular configuration of which has a large number of sharp edges and corners. At the same time, the zigzag-shaped edges of these blocks make it possible to achieve high resistance to lateral skidding. In addition, the surface of the tread blocks in the middle part of the tread is equipped with wavy lamellas, which form additional edges of adhesion. As a result, the contact patch of the Matador MP-57 tire at any given time has a large number of edges that effectively grip any irregularity on the icy surface or even penetrate compacted snow.

The shoulder zones of the tread are also equipped with a large number of massive blocks, the rigidity of which has been significantly increased to ensure more reliable installation of the studs. At the same time, the high constructive rigidity of the shoulder blocks allows for optimal distribution of pressure over the contact patch, protecting the tread from premature wear.

Another undisputed advantage of this model is the high efficiency of the drainage system, which is primarily due to the block structure of the tread pattern. As a result, the tire's drainage system has a large number of longitudinal and transverse channels at its disposal, which allows it to not only easily cope with water drainage but also quickly get rid of more massive masses of thawed snow.
