The summer passenger tire Matador MP-41 is one of the successful attempts of this well-known Eastern European manufacturer to create a High Performance category tire. I.e., this model is designed for powerful passenger cars that can move at very high speeds. At the same time, it is worth noting the extremely loyal pricing policy towards domestic buyers, where this tire is no exception.
Like most leading world manufacturers, the company's specialists preferred to equip their high-performance tire with a V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern. At the same time, it has a distinctly aggressive exterior, which unequivocally hints at the tire's remarkable abilities when moving at high speeds.
To maintain stable and reliable behavior in any driving mode, the tire engineers placed a very wide longitudinal rib in the central part of the tread. Its rigid and uninterrupted construction throughout the tread allowed the tire to provide excellent directional stability. In addition, due to this technical solution, the tire demonstrates very clear responses to steering wheel turns, giving the handling a sporty character.
The subject of pride for Slovak tire makers can be considered the drainage system of the Matador MP41 tire, which has excellent performance. One of its main components is two wide longitudinal grooves located in the central part of the tread. When driving on wet roads, they are able to accommodate a huge amount of water at the same time, thereby shifting the aquaplaning threshold. In addition, water leaves the contact patch through numerous diagonal grooves, the walls of which have an elliptical shape. Such a configuration allows minimizing the likelihood of vortex formation in water flows, which increases their passage speed through these grooves.
Main features of the Matador MP41 model
- An aggressive V-shaped design of the directional symmetrical tread pattern has a large contact patch area, providing excellent traction;
- Reinforced shoulder areas, which increases stability when cornering;
- An exceptionally efficient drainage system significantly shifts the aquaplaning threshold, substantially increasing safety when driving on wet roads.
