All-season tire Matador MP-21 was specially designed for our country. This model is distinguished by excellent consumer and operational characteristics, including, of course, the traditional low cost for products of this manufacturer.
As befits a new generation tire, this model is equipped with a modern asymmetric directional tread pattern. When creating it, special attention was paid to ensuring a high level of safety, low noise level and long service life.
Thanks to the asymmetric protector pattern, the Matador MP21 tire demonstrates excellent traction not only in summer but also in moderate winter conditions. I.e. this model is ideal for operation in spring and autumn, when the temperature often crosses the zero mark. In some of our regions, such weather can last for months.
The design of the drainage system hints at this feature unequivocally, the main elements of which are three very wide and deep longitudinal grooves. Thanks to their large size, these drainage elements of the protector are able to quickly and efficiently remove both water and meltwater from the contact patch, thus ensuring safe movement even in the most unfavorable conditions.
Main features of the Matador MP21 tire
- Three wide longitudinal drainage grooves easily cope with the removal from the contact patch not only of large amounts of water but also of heavy masses of meltwater, which ensures high resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning;
- Two longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the protector provide excellent directional stability, good handling on all types of road surfaces, and also contribute to a more even distribution of pressure across the contact patch, which increases the protector's resistance to wear;
- Numerous lamellas form additional sharp edges, increasing traction with a wet surface and ensuring high braking efficiency, as well as increasing the rigidity of the protector blocks, which improves handling on dry surfaces;
- The reinforcing element between the blocks of the shoulder zones from the inside increases the rigidity of this part of the protector, thereby increasing resistance to deformation, and also reduces the turbulence of water flows, which increases their passage speed.
