The summer tire Matador MPS-330 Maxilla 2 is one of the latest developments of the Slovak manufacturer, which is designed specifically for small-tonnage cargo transport - light trucks and vans. One of the distinctive features of this model is a very wide range of sizes, including 21 types with different profile heights for wheels with a landing diameter from 14 to 16 inches. Thanks to such a variety of options, this tire has excellent applicability.
4-rib design of the tread pattern
The original tread pattern is one of the distinctive features of this model. It consists of a minimal number of elements - 2 longitudinal ribs, located in its central part, and 2 shoulder zones. This design solution made it possible to make each of the four longitudinal ribs very massive. In addition, all longitudinal ribs do not have breaks throughout their length, which provided them with high structural rigidity. The main advantage of such a structure is the optimal distribution of the load on the contact patch. This increased the tire's carrying capacity and significantly increased the resistance of the tread to uneven wear, thereby increasing the service life of the tire as a whole.
Reinforced construction of the shoulder zones of the tread
The reinforced shoulder zones of the tread are also a characteristic feature of this tire. Their high structural rigidity is ensured by two components - massive sizes and the absence of breaks throughout their length. As a result, the Matador MPS-330 Maxilla 2 tire demonstrates high resistance to deformation effects, which provides more reliable behavior when turning.
Effective water removal from the contact patch
Despite the reduced number of tread elements, the Slovak tire makers managed to ensure high performance of the drainage system. To do this, they increased the size of the three longitudinal drainage grooves, which allowed them to accommodate larger volumes of water, thereby improving resistance to aquaplaning.
Main features of Matador MPS-330 Maxilla 2
- original 4-rib design, distinguished by massive sizes of tread elements, provides increased carrying capacity and resistance to uneven wear;
- reinforced construction of the shoulder zones of the tread allows the tire to demonstrate excellent stability in turns;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the increased volume of the three drainage grooves.
