The range of light truck tires Torero has been expanded

Domestic brand Torero (which replaced the Matador brand in the Russian market and belongs to the Cordiant holding) has expanded its range of tires for minivans and light trucks. Initially, the all-season model Torero MPS 125 was presented, and later the summer tire Torero MPS 330 and two winter tires were added: the studded Torero MPS 500 and the friction Torero MPS 530, which all also received tread patterns from Matador tires.

According to the manufacturer, the summer Torero MPS 330 tires (analog of the Matador MPS 330 Maxilla 2 model, presented in 2013) are optimized to increase the service life, for which a durable tread structure and a flat tire contour were developed.

The novelty is also suitable for transporting heavy loads, and the reinforced tread lugs in both the central and shoulder zones are designed to improve stability when driving straight and in corners. In addition, three wide water grooves should provide quick water removal from the contact area with the road, which reduces the risk of aquaplaning and generally increases the level of safety in rainy weather. At the moment, the tires, according to the official website of the brand, are offered in four sizes from 185 R14C to 185/75 R16C.

The studded Torero MPS 500 model (analog of the Matador MPS 500 Sibir Ice Van tires, released in 2016) is designed to provide optimal safety in the most difficult winter conditions and has a tread pattern with an increased number of lamellas, creating additional edges and reducing the braking distance on ice.

The tread pattern also includes compact shoulder blocks and two rigid central ribs, which improve directional and lateral stability, while special "pockets" hold snow, increasing traction on snowy roads, and the optimized stud placement pattern increases the effectiveness of braking on icy surfaces. The tires are available in three sizes: 185/75 R16C, 195/75 R16C, and 225/75 R16C.

In turn, the friction winter Torero MPS 530 tires (with a tread pattern from the Matador MPS 530 Sibir Snow Van tires, presented in 2013) are designed to guarantee reliable grip on wet and snowy roads, and the design with three wide longitudinal channels expels snow slush from the contact patch, reducing the likelihood of slushplaning.

The sparse tread pattern with "snow pockets" increases the effectiveness of acceleration and braking on snow, while the numerous lamellas reduce the braking distance on ice, the compact shoulder blocks increase stability during maneuvering, and the connected lugs in the central section improve handling characteristics. The range includes two sizes: 195/70 R15C and 195/75 R16C.
