Description Matador MP-75 Wisentta
Summer light tire Matador MP-75 Wisentta was specifically designed for operation off paved roads, predominantly on soft and loose soils. This model is intended for installation exclusively on off-road vehicles with a wheel mounting diameter of 15 or 16 inches. The entire size range includes four types.
Excellent cross-country performance
Since the Slovak tire makers initially had the task of developing a tire for off-road use, it's no surprise that they preferred to use the classic 4-rib design of the tread pattern. All its longitudinal ribs are separate rows of massive and high blocks, the edges of which are arranged in different directions.
In fact, the tread pattern consists of a central part, where two rows of blocks are located, and two shoulder zones, also equipped with separate elements. Both zones have somewhat different tasks. The central part of the Matador MP-75 Wisentta tread provides low rolling resistance, thanks to which the blocks are arranged longitudinally and have an S-shape. Thanks to this, the contact patch has additional lateral gripping edges. This allowed to further increase the traction and coupling characteristics, as well as increase the level of comfort when driving on the highway.
Reinforced shoulder zones
In contrast to the blocks in the central part, the tread elements of the shoulder zones differ not only in massive sizes but also in arrangement. Their long edges are arranged almost perpendicular to the direction of movement. This made it possible to maximize the cross-country performance on mud and sand, and due to the large distance between them, also on stony soils. In addition, the great height of the tread blocks of the shoulder zones provides more reliable protection of the tire sidewalls from punctures and cuts.
Main features
- the tire is specifically designed for operation outside of asphalt roads;
- the 4-rib structure of the tread pattern provides good directional stability when driving on highways;
- the multi-step arrangement of the blocks made it possible to reduce the level of resonant noises and vibrations;
- the S-shaped blocks of the central part of the tread are arranged along the direction of movement, thereby reducing rolling resistance;
- excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread, thanks to the large distance between all its elements;
- the block structure of the tread pattern provides excellent cross-country performance on mud, sand, and stones.
