Description Matador FU1 City
The Matador FU1 City automotive tire, from a Russian manufacturer, is designed for installation on the steering axle of trucks and buses that provide cargo-passenger transportation primarily in cities. In the standard installation variant, the tire can be operated throughout the entire season. Also, the installation of FU1 City model tires on the rear axle is allowed, provided that they are operated during the summer period.
When modeling the design of the Matador FU1 City tire, the developers were guided by the specifics of vehicle operation in urban mode on roads with a solid surface. To stabilize the dynamic and traction characteristics, a special tread design has been developed.
The wide sections in the central part of the tread provide directional stability and maneuverability of the vehicle. The wide longitudinal drainage channels also have a positive effect on the handling of the vehicle, which, in addition, allow effective removal of water from the contact area. The special shape of the lamellas makes it possible to ensure maximum reliable contact with the asphalt surface, including in adverse weather conditions.
The reinforced shoulder area of the tread protects the tire from impact on curbs.
The Matador FU1 City model belongs to the type of tubeless tires. To ensure resistance to mechanical damage, as well as to provide high load-bearing characteristics, the tire design uses a solid steel cord and two-layer rubber. The outer layer of special composition rubber is highly resistant to wear and tear, which guarantees a significant increase in the service life of the tire. The inner rubber layer is characterized by temperature stability (temperature expansion coefficient), since the constancy of geometric dimensions is a critically important parameter for the two-layer design variant.
