High performance on any type of road surface
Since this tire is, first of all, designed for trucks, and secondly, can be used all year round, it's no wonder that it is equipped with a tread featuring an S-shaped symmetrical non-directional pattern. This choice is due, first and foremost, to its versatility and excellent adaptability to any road conditions. Among other advantages of this type of pattern, it is worth noting the low rolling resistance, excellent passability, and high fuel efficiency.
A characteristic feature of the tread pattern of the Matador DR2 Variant M+S tire is the presence of a huge number of small-sized blocks, which fully corresponds to modern trends in the tire industry. All these tread elements are arranged in four longitudinal ribs, two of which are located in the central part, and the other two in the shoulder areas.
The tread blocks located in the two central ribs are distinguished by an S-shaped shape, which is simply replete with many edges and angles. This solution allowed to saturate the contact patch to the limit with a multitude of sharp edges, which are also arranged in different directions, making the grip with the road even more reliable and stable.
The shoulder areas of the tread also feature two rows of tread blocks, which are distinguished by a less intricate shape. They have elliptical edges arranged perpendicular to the direction of movement. This solution allowed to improve the passability on snow, sand, and mud, as well as reduce the braking distance on slippery surfaces.

The possibility of year-round operation is provided by the original design of the S-shaped symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which is perfectly adapted for movement on any type of road surface;
