Description Marshal RS50
The Marshal RS50 truck tire is designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks and buses that operate in intercity and interregional transportation. The distinctive features of this model include increased wear resistance, excellent directional stability, and responsive handling. Additionally, it is worth noting the attractive price-to-quality ratio and the fact that the development of this tire was handled by specialists from Kumho Tyres, as Marshal is owned by this South Korean manufacturer.
Short braking distance
One of the beneficial distinctions of this model is its high braking efficiency, especially on wet asphalt. This is mainly due to the design of the central part of the tread pattern, which features three very massive longitudinal ribs. The surface of each rib has a large number of transverse lamellas. These tread elements, when in contact with the road surface, form a multitude of transversely arranged edges of adhesion, which enables the tire to demonstrate a very short braking distance.
Reinforced shoulder areas
Each of the shoulder areas is a separate longitudinal rib that has no interruptions throughout the tread pattern. At the same time, they are distinguished by an increased width, which, in combination with a puncture-resistant, cut-resistant, and wear-resistant rubber compound, makes them very robust and rigid. Due to these properties, the contact patch has significant dimensions and a practically rectangular shape, which enables the tire to demonstrate very fast and clear reactions to steering wheel turns. Additionally, the design features of the shoulder areas contribute to the optimal distribution of external pressure across the contact patch, which, in turn, increases the load-carrying capacity and resistance to uneven wear.
Key features of the Marshal RS50 tire
- the tire is designed for use on the steering axles of trucks and buses;
- five massive longitudinal ribs provide excellent directional stability and handling responsiveness;
- short braking distance, especially on wet roads, thanks to numerous transverse lamellas that form multiple edges of adhesion during movement;
- reinforced shoulder areas improve most of the tire's performance characteristics.
