Description Marshal LT01
The Marshal LT01 truck tire is a representative of the new generation of tire products designed for trucks used in intercity and interregional transportation. This model is designed for installation on trailer axles, where it demonstrates very low rolling resistance, resistance to abrasive and uneven wear, as well as excellent directional stability.
Wide tread pattern
One of the distinctive features of the Marshal LT01 model is the increased tread width. Thanks to this feature, it was possible to place seven longitudinal ribs on it, which, in combination with their very rigid design, made it possible to provide the tire with excellent directional stability, as well as extremely low rolling resistance.
At the same time, the design of the longitudinal ribs differs significantly, which is due to the differences in the tasks they perform. A striking example of this approach is the central longitudinal rib, which has increased dimensions, due to which it has very high resistance to dynamic deformation. In addition, in combination with two shoulder zones with a similar very rigid design, this tread element provides a more even distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, which has significantly improved most of the tire's main operational qualities.
As for the shoulder zones, in addition to improving the load distribution parameters, this part of the tread has largely contributed to the fact that the contact patch is not only maximally large but also practically rectangular. At the same time, both the shape and size, due to the high constructive rigidity of the shoulder zones, remain unchanged regardless of the driving conditions.
Excellent traction properties on wet roads
In addition to the above-mentioned advantages, this model is favorably distinguished by excellent traction properties on wet roads. They are provided due to the drainage system, which consists of seven longitudinal grooves, the large volumes of which allow quickly removing even a significant amount of water from the contact patch. In addition, four longitudinal ribs in the central part have a multitude of S-shaped lamellas, which, during movement, form a large number of transverse edges, due to which the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties on wet roads.
Main features of the Marshal LT01 tire
- the tire is designed for the trailer axle of trucks;
- a flat profile, a large number of longitudinal tread elements provide maximum contact patch size, even distribution of external pressure over it, which improves traction and durability;
- S-shaped lamellas improve traction on wet roads;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning due to six very wide and deep longitudinal drainage grooves.
