Description Marshal KRS03
The Marshal KRS03 truck tire is distinguished by a fairly specific, yet very wide range of applications. The fact is that it is designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks and buses. However, the North American manufacturer also allows the use of this model on the trailer axles of trucking equipment. Among other features of this tire, it is worth noting the exceptional stability and reliability when driving at high speeds, as well as excellent economic efficiency, provided by a long service life and an attractive price.
Efficient Tread Pattern
Since this model was initially designed for operation on the steering axles of trucks, special attention was paid to ensuring maximum directional stability and reduced rolling resistance during its development. That's why its tread pattern features five fairly massive longitudinal ribs, which, due to the absence of any breaks throughout their length, have very high resistance to dynamic deformation. This tread pattern design allows the tire to demonstrate very stable and reliable behavior, as well as excellent fuel economy.
Increased Resistance to Aquaplaning
The drainage system of the tread pattern of this model is represented by four very deep longitudinal grooves, as well as a multitude of S-shaped lamellas located on the surface of all five ribs. These tread elements, during movement, form numerous edges that direct water from the contact patch into the longitudinal drainage grooves, through which it leaves the tread. This process is highly intense, which is why the tire demonstrates excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
Main Advantages of the Marshal KRS03 Tire
- a wide range of applications, ensured by the possibility of installing this model on both steering and trailer axles of trucks;
- numerous S-shaped and cross-shaped lamellas provide increased traction on wet roads;
- the large depth of the tread pattern increases the tire's service life;
- the significant size of the contact patch increases the traction properties on dry asphalt;
- drainage grooves with special elements for removing stones and solid objects from the tread;
- five rigid longitudinal ribs provide excellent directional stability.
