In the three central ribs, a system of oppositely directed lamellas is applied. These microscopic cuts have sharpened, self-locking edges. When braking, they open, creating a "scraper" effect that literally cuts through the water film. This allows for intense braking where ordinary tires start to slip. At the same time, four deep longitudinal grooves are provided in the tread. Their hydraulic calculation is such that they instantly drain water, preventing the "floatation" of the tire.

Shoulder armor and wear geometry

The steering axle often suffers from "saw-tooth" wear of the shoulder zones, which causes noise and vibration. To avoid this, the design of the shoulder blocks has been strengthened. They are made as massive and rigid as possible, which prevents them from "spreading" under the action of lateral forces during maneuvering. The special structure of the lamellas and the optimized pressure in the contact patch force the tread to wear exceptionally evenly. The tire maintains its geometric profile over a long period.
