A notable feature of the LingLong LMC8 tire is its scope of application, limited to light trucks and buses. At the same time, this model is favorably distinguished by the possibility of year-round operation, although with a number of reservations. Also, it is worth noting some design features of this tire, which made it possible to significantly improve the carrying capacity and fuel efficiency, due to which its low operating costs are conditioned.
Excellent strength
A distinctive feature of this model is a design developed on the same principles as truck tires intended for heavy trucks operating in the field of intercity and interregional transportation. It is based on a all-steel carcass, additionally reinforced with a steel breaker layer. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates not only excellent carrying capacity, but also excellent reliability, due to its excellent resistance to punctures, cuts and impact.
Multi-ribbed design of the tread pattern
Another design feature of the LingLong LMC8, making this tire very similar to analogs for heavy trucks, is a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It contains five longitudinal ribs, each of which is a very rigid element without any breaks throughout its length. Thanks to this, they possess very high resistance to dynamic deformation, which allows the tire to demonstrate low rolling resistance, excellent directional stability and high maneuverability.
Excellent traction properties and high braking efficiency
The absence of numerous blocks does not prevent this model from showing excellent traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction. They are achieved due to the presence of numerous transverse edges. Most of them are formed due to transverse S-shaped lamellas. In addition to them, the edges of the grip are formed due to the zigzag shape of all tread ribs. Such a design provides not only excellent acceleration, but also a short braking distance, especially on wet roads.
Main features of the LingLong LMC8 truck tire
- the tire is designed for light trucks and minibuses;
- developed using technical solutions borrowed from tires for heavy trucks and buses;
- high carrying capacity due to the reinforced carcass and tread pattern, which contributes to a more even distribution of external pressure on the contact patch;
- excellent grip on dry and wet roads due to the optimized tread pattern with numerous transverse edges formed by multiple S-shaped lamellas.
