Description Lassa Iceways 2
The Lassa Iceways 2 winter tire is installed on compact class passenger cars. It is a copy of the Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000. The Japanese tire giant is one of the majority owners of the Turkish brand. The model is characterized by good traction properties on any winter surface, enhanced stud fixation, and reliability even in the most unfavorable operating conditions.
Hard central rib
One of the characteristic features of the tread pattern design is the presence of a wide longitudinal rib in its central part. The absence of breaks and massive sizes give this element rigidity. As a result, directional stability and handling responsiveness at high speed are ensured.
Curved drainage grooves
The tread contains a sufficient number of drainage grooves. Almost all of them have a curved shape, due to which the edges formed by them in the central part are located at an aggressive angle, and in the shoulder zones - are directed almost perpendicularly. This design simultaneously improves both longitudinal and transverse traction properties, primarily on snowy roads. The drainage grooves are wide enough for the tread to compact and hold snow, providing confident behavior on such a surface.
Lamellas and studs
The effectiveness of the tread on icy surfaces is largely due to the interrelated work of studs and lamellas. Narrow slits located in different directions form thousands of sharp edges, allowing the tire to grip even the smallest irregularities on the ice. They enhance the work of studs, the number of which is limited by recently updated European requirements. Their anchor is fixed in the lowermost rigid layer of the tread, which guarantees the reliability of the connection between the steel element and the tire throughout its entire service life.
Key features of Lassa Iceways 2
- a hard central rib improves directional stability and handling responsiveness;
- variable inclination of drainage grooves ensures reliable transverse and longitudinal traction properties;
- confident behavior on ice thanks to thousands of lamellas and over a hundred studs;
- a two-layer tread provides a rigid fixation of the stud in the tire.
