Released by a joint Turkish-Japanese venture, the Lassa Competus Winter passenger winter tire is designed for installation on high-performance vehicles, as well as on SUV-class vehicles.
The tread pattern design of the tire is characteristic of tires designed for winter operation. The directional tread pattern contains a multitude of individual blocks of various shapes, which provide good traction on slippery surfaces and also improve traction on snowy surfaces.
The entire tread is covered with zigzag-shaped lamellas, which, without compromising the stiffness of the tread's structural elements, help the vehicle maintain traction on icy roads. Independent tests have shown that the Lassa Competus Winter tire has a short braking distance on dry and snowy roads. This was achieved thanks to the porous structure of the rubber mixture with the addition of silicon, as well as zigzag-shaped grooves located along the tread.
To improve traction on wet roads, the tread pattern is equipped with diagonal grooves, which, in combination with longitudinal grooves, effectively remove water from the tire's contact patch. At low temperatures, the tire remains sufficiently elastic for effective traction with a snowy road, thanks to the porous structure of the rubber mixture.
Additionally, the tire optimally distributes pressure across the contact patch, which also contributes to improved traction characteristics. Thanks to the woven pattern of the tread, optimally selected distance between blocks, the tire provides comfort and low noise level while driving.
Key features of Lassa Competus Winter
- Short braking distance, ensured by the porosity of the rubber mixture;
- Good traction on snow and wet roads;
- Comfort and low level of noise and vibration.
