Description Lanvigator DM311
Lanvigator DM311 — a tire designed for the most severe conditions of the mining industry. Quarry trucks and specialized equipment place special demands on the support-rolling system: here, not just "strength" is needed, but the ability to transmit traction effort on a rocky base, resist abrasive wear, and withstand multiple impact loads without destroying the carcass. The model is designed specifically for this scenario.
Tread and its specifics
The pattern is based on segmented rhombic elements in the center and massive blocks in the shoulder areas. This is a functional geometry optimized for work on loose and unstable rocky soils. When in contact with the surface, their edges form multiple engagement vectors, penetrating the rock relief and creating a reliable point of support for the implementation of traction effort. Unlike longitudinal ribs, which are oriented towards course stability, the transverse architecture is aimed at maximizing traction when starting, climbing, and passing complex sections. The tire does not skid on crushed stone, does not slip into skidding when starting under load.
The increased depth of the tread pattern is a calculated reserve for wear and mechanical damage. The deeper the grooves, the longer the tire retains its gripping properties during wear and the higher the likelihood that a sharp stone will not puncture the tread to the carcass.
Damage protection
The tread layer of the model is deliberately made with a depth reserve. This decision has two goals:
- protection of internal layers - the rubber array works as a damper, absorbing the impact energy when driving over sharp inclusions;
- increasing mileage - a larger volume of rubber means more wear cycles before reaching the wear indicator.
Reinforced sidewalls
The "shoulder" area also received an additional rubber flap. In quarry conditions, the sidewall is no less vulnerable than the tread: contact with oversized cargo, truck boards, and rocky outcrops. Therefore, a constant risk factor. Thickening the sidewall layer reduces the likelihood of through cuts and tears.
Key features of Lanvigator DM311:
- maximum realization of traction on rocky and loose surfaces, implemented by a large-block tread structure and a high layer of compound;
- additional rubber flap in the sidewall area for protection against cuts and impacts;
- special compound providing resistance to wear and micro-tears;
- multilayer carcass, guaranteeing high carrying capacity and impact resistance.
