The non-studded winter tire Kumho Wintercraft WI51 for passenger cars is perfect for use in urban conditions. It is characterized by improved traction properties on winter roads, good passability on uncleared sections.
The tire tread is made of a rubber compound based on "silica" HDMS. In addition, the composition of the compound includes particles of aramid fibers. This combination allows the tire to very effectively grip any slippery surface. The directional V-shaped arrangement of the drainage grooves provides high intensity of removal of heavy mixture of water and snow from under the tire. On cleared asphalt pavement, the traction properties are provided by an increased contact patch. This is achieved due to the optimized tread profile and a large useful area of its pattern.
