Description Kumho KMD01
One of the key features of the Kumho KMD01 cargo tire is its scope of application. This model was specifically designed for use on cargo trucks used in the construction sector, ranging from dump trucks to concrete mixers. As a result, the South Korean tire manufacturers have created a tire that is perfectly adapted to harsh operating conditions.
Universal tread pattern
This is largely due to the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which features an original design, making the tire versatile. I.e. it provides high traction properties, both on asphalt and on sandy and dirt roads.
Excellent directional stability
One of the distinctive features of the Kumho KMD01 tread pattern is the structure of the central part. It features a very wide longitudinal rib consisting of many Z-shaped blocks. During movement, they form a large number of additional traction edges, ensuring more confident behavior off the road with a solid surface.
At the same time, they are connected by rigid bridges, which turns the longitudinal rib into a single element with very high resistance to dynamic deformations that occur during movement. As a result, the tire demonstrates very good directional stability at any speed.
Excellent cross-country capability
On both sides of the central longitudinal rib, there are many individual blocks grouped in transverse rows. During movement, they form a large number of curved edges that start in the central part and end in the shoulder areas. In combination with a significant distance between the transverse rows, this provides the tire with excellent cross-country capability, especially on loose and earthy soils.
Main features of the Kumho KMD01 cargo tire
- the tire is specifically designed for use on the driving axles of various wheeled vehicles used in the construction sector;
- the original structure of the central longitudinal rib, consisting of many individual blocks connected by rigid bridges, which allows the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability on asphalt and confident behavior off it;
- many transverse rows formed from massive blocks provide excellent cross-country capability on sandy and earthy soils.
