The Kumho KLD03 truck tire is most efficient when used in conjunction with the KLS03 model, designed for the steering axle. This model, in turn, should be used on the drive axles of trucks used for interregional transportation. It is distinguished by excellent traction and coupling properties, low rolling resistance, and a very long service life.
Original Tread Pattern
This model is equipped with a symmetrical directional tread pattern, featuring an original V-shaped design. As for the scheme of arrangement of its elements, they are composed in such a way as to form three very wide longitudinal ribs, each consisting of two rows of separate blocks. Thanks to this arrangement, this tire provides excellent coupling properties not only on summer but also on winter surfaces, which significantly expands its scope of application.
Multiple Traction Edges
As mentioned earlier, the tread pattern of this model consists of many separate blocks. The South Korean specialists deliberately reduced their size, which allowed increasing their number. This solution was borrowed from the company's winter tires, which are distinguished by a high content of traction edges. The reduced stiffness was compensated by the minimal distance between the blocks and their special quadrangular shape. As a result, the Kumho KLD03 tire was able to provide excellent traction and coupling properties on various surfaces without compromising other important tire qualities.
Excellent Course Stability
In addition, the tire demonstrates excellent course stability at any speed. This is mainly due to the tread pattern, which is perfectly adapted to prolonged movement at high speeds. It contains three very wide longitudinal ribs that are highly resistant to deformations that occur during movement, which increases stability.
