Description Kumho KLA11
The summer cargo tire Kumho KLA11 is designed for installation on any axle of trailers and semi-trailers operated on high-speed highways. This model is distinguished by its long service life, which makes the price-quality ratio even more attractive.
High resistance to uneven wear
A distinctive feature of the tread pattern of the Kumho KLA11 tire is the equal size of the three longitudinal ribs located in the central part and two shoulder zones. Due to this technical solution, it was possible to ensure a more even distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, which led to a reduction in the risk of uneven wear. As a result, the service life of the tire has increased significantly. Additionally, the equally sized tread elements have given the contact patch of the tire a practically rectangular shape, which has allowed for a substantial improvement in traction characteristics.
Excellent directional stability
The five longitudinal ribs of the tread pattern themselves provide the tire with high directional stability. However, the South Korean tire manufacturers considered this insufficient and equipped the tread pattern with a double longitudinal rib, which is located in the very center. Due to this, it was possible to achieve a significant improvement in this indicator.
Short braking distance
In the central part of the tread, there are also two longitudinal ribs, each consisting of separate blocks. The numerous edges of the formed grip have made it possible to significantly increase the braking efficiency, especially on wet asphalt.
Low noise level
To reduce the noise level, which is caused by the numerous blocks of the tread located in its central part, the company's specialists gave their edges a wavy shape. Additionally, the blocks themselves were placed with a varying pitch relative to each other, which significantly reduced the likelihood of resonance noise and vibrations.
Key features of Kumho KLA11
- The rigid and solid construction of the shoulder zones of the tread in combination with their large width provides the tire with a longer service life;
- The double longitudinal rib, located in the center of the tread, significantly increases directional stability;
- A short braking distance, thanks to the numerous tread blocks that form numerous edges of the grip.
