Description Koryo KR906
The Koryo KR906 truck tire is designed for installation on steering and trailer axles of trucks used in intercity and interregional transportation. The size range is represented by only one size - 385/65 for wheels with a mounting diameter of 22.5 inches. At the same time, this model has a fairly high layering index - 20.
Excellent directional stability
One of the characteristic features of the tread pattern of this tire is the presence of six longitudinal ribs, four of which are located in its central part. This arrangement of tread elements allowed the Koryo KR906 tire to have excellent directional stability even at high speeds. In addition, the presence of such a number of rigid tread ribs significantly reduced rolling resistance, thereby providing excellent fuel efficiency.
High resistance to uneven wear
Each of the six longitudinal ribs is characterized by the absence of any breaks throughout its length. This made them maximally rigid, and therefore resistant to dynamic deformations that occur during movement. As a result, Chinese tire manufacturers were able to provide a very even distribution of external pressure on the contact patch, which led to a reduction in the likelihood of uneven wear development, thereby extending the life of the tire.
Excellent traction in rainy conditions
The division of the tread into six separate ribs made it possible to equip it with five drainage grooves. This could not but affect the resistance to aquaplaning, which is at a very high level. The large depth of the tread, reaching 15 mm, played a significant role in this.
Main features of the Koryo KR906 tire
- the tire is perfectly adapted for long-distance driving at high speeds, demonstrating low heat generation and excellent wear resistance;
- good directional stability, thanks to six very rigid tread ribs;
- high braking efficiency, low level of resonant noise and vibrations due to the zigzag edges of the longitudinal ribs of the tread;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the large volume of each of the five drainage grooves;
- excellent resistance to uneven wear is ensured by a very even distribution of external pressure on the contact patch.
