Description Koryo KR156
Truck tires Koryo KR156 are designed for installation on steering and trailer axles of trucks, the operation of which is mainly associated with transportation over long distances on high-speed highways. The size range of this model consists of 8 sizes for wheels with a mounting diameter of 22.5 and 24.5 inches, which provided excellent applicability. Depending on the size, the tire's layering ranges from 14 to 18, and the load index ranges from 130/128 to 154/151.
Excellent high-speed handling
One of the most distinctive features of this model is its suitability for high-speed driving, as evidenced by the assigned speed index "M". This was made possible largely due to the optimized symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It consists of five longitudinal ribs, three of which are rows of individual blocks located in the central part of the tread. This structure provided the Koryo KR156 tire with excellent course stability even at high speeds. At the same time, the massive dimensions of all longitudinal ribs allowed maximizing the contact patch area, which led to a significant increase in traction properties on dry asphalt.
High resistance to aquaplaning
Another feature of this tire that should be noted is its very high resistance to aquaplaning. Chinese tire manufacturers achieved this by equipping the tread with four longitudinal drainage grooves. Their distinctive feature is a large volume, provided by the impressive depth of the tread pattern, reaching 14 mm.
Key features of the Koryo KR156 model
- symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is perfectly adapted for high-speed driving;
- five longitudinal ribs provide excellent course stability and low rolling resistance;
- rigid construction of the shoulder areas of the tread allows for more confident maneuvering, due to high resistance to dynamic deformation;
- four longitudinal drainage grooves provide reliable traction with a wet surface due to excellent resistance to aquaplaning;
- special composition of the rubber mixture allowed to increase the wear resistance of the tread, reduce heat generation and decrease rolling resistance.
