Description Koryo KR08
The Koryo KR08 truck tire is designed for installation on any axis of trucks and buses. Another distinctive feature of this model is the possibility of operation on various types of coverage, from asphalt to dirt roads. The size range consists of 6 standard sizes with a layer index from 16 to 20.
Universal scope of application
The Koryo KR08 model owes its universality, first of all, to the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. Its main elements are four longitudinal ribs, separated from each other by drainage grooves. Such a structure of the tread pattern made it possible to make the tread ribs very wide, thereby ensuring the maximum size of the contact patch. As a result, excellent traction characteristics on asphalt were achieved.
As for traction properties, they are at a fairly high level even when driving outside roads with a solid surface. Such capabilities appeared after Chinese tire manufacturers gave the edges of the longitudinal ribs a zigzag shape, thus forming a multitude of traction edges that work equally well on various types of coverage.
Excellent passability in snow, sand, and mud
Excellent passability indicators are another distinctive feature of this model. This was achieved not only due to the zigzag edges of the longitudinal ribs in the central part of the tread, but also thanks to special depressions in its shoulder zones. These tread elements work on the same principle as off-road tires when driving outside roads with a solid surface, providing more confident overcoming of sandy and muddy areas.
Main features of the Koryo KR08 tire
- possibility of installation on any axis of trucks and buses;
- perfectly adapted for operation on any type of coverage, thanks to the universal tread pattern;
- low rolling resistance is provided by four wide longitudinal ribs;
- high resistance to uneven wear, due to the optimal distribution of external pressure on the contact patch;
- excellent traction in rainy conditions is provided by three wide drainage grooves, which made it possible to achieve excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
