Description Kleber Hydraxer
The Kleber Hydraxer summer tire is a successful attempt by a well-known European tire manufacturer to create a nearly ideal rain tire. This model boasts an attractive balance of relatively low cost and excellent performance characteristics. The tire is available in several dozen of the most common sizes - from 195/45R15 to 245/40R18, which assumes excellent applicability to most modern passenger cars.
The symmetric directional tread pattern features a fairly aggressive V-shaped design, impressing with a developed system of water-dispelling channels. The tread pattern is built according to a already classic scheme, consisting of five longitudinal ribs - three in the central part of the tread and two shoulder zones. The longitudinal rib located in the central part of the tread is one of the distinctive features of the tread pattern. This rib has a solid structure, the rigidity of which is further enhanced by special V-shaped lamellas. Thanks to this technical solution, the Kleber Hydraxer tire demonstrates excellent braking efficiency even on wet roads. In addition, the rigid central rib provided the tire with excellent directional stability and instantaneous response to steering wheel turns, making handling reliable and refined at the same time.
This model boasts phenomenal resistance to aquaplaning, which is ensured by the excellent efficiency of the water-dispelling system. Water is quickly removed from the contact patch through four longitudinal grooves and numerous transverse channels of an elliptical shape. Such a shape of the channels allows significantly increasing the speed of water circulation, which, in turn, significantly increases the efficiency of the entire drainage system as a whole.
Key Features of Kleber Hydraxer
- exceptional resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the efficient operation of the drainage system with transverse channels of an elliptical shape;
- excellent braking efficiency, excellent directional stability due to the very rigid structure of the longitudinal rib located in the central part of the tread;
- high rigidity of the sidewalls due to reinforced shoulder zones provides excellent handling.
