Description Киров КИ-111
The Kirov KI-111 commercial tire is designed for operation on any axle of medium-tonnage trucks. This model is perfectly adapted for urban use, offering a range of good operating characteristics at a low cost, from excellent traction to excellent wear resistance.
Universal tread pattern
This model owes its adaptability to urban conditions to a large extent to the tread pattern, the design of which gives it excellent performance. Its universality is ensured by dividing the tread into several functional zones. There are three of them, and each "responsible" for improving certain operational properties - the central part and two shoulder zones.
The central part contains a wide longitudinal continuous rib. Due to its rigid design, this element gives the tire good stability when driving at high speeds, as well as fast and accurate responses to the driver's actions, if it is installed on the steering axle. In addition, such a design of the tread center significantly reduces rolling resistance and optimizes the distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, increasing the carrying capacity and preventing uneven wear.
In turn, the shoulder zones of the tread contain a multitude of transverse Z-shaped blocks connected by a rigid bridge in the form of a central longitudinal rib. This design makes them more rigid, which has a positive effect on handling and stability of traction properties, regardless of the degree of influence of centrifugal acceleration forces. In addition, the long transverse edges formed by the shoulder blocks significantly reduce the braking distance and also improve the longitudinal traction properties.
